A tough drop for backers

Pats gamblers fumbled away money like their team fumbled away the ball yesterday, falling back to .500 this season (6-6) with a 33-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Mother Nature was hard on the Pats, who turned the ball over five times in the second half of a cold, wet affair. She was harder on their backers, who had hope as 1-point favorites in the first half but crashed like the stock market.
